We express our gratitude to the participants!

Your presence and engagement made it a success!

Join the onsite Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) ENERGY SEMINAR

which will be held on 26 June 2023, from 13:30 to 17:30 CET!

The aim of the Seminar was to gather information to improve the underlying energy data and the catalogue of energy indicators that the C3S Global Energy Climate service is producing. The C3S Energy team is particularly is being keen to hear from participant about any additional energy data sources and the identification of new energy indicators.

The C3S Energy service is being developed with funding from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) which is implemented by ECMWF on behalf of the European Commission.

The C3S Energy service is also developed through a partnership with the lead contractor Inside Climate Service S.r.l.  (ICS), and subcontractors CNRS, ARMINES, EDF, EVEROZE, DTU, and ENEL, with input from energy sector stakeholders.

The Seminar was chaired by Dr Alberto Troccoli (Founder & CEO of ICS), with contributions from major experts in the energy and climate sectors. As a key-stakeholder, opinions and expertise were crucial to the discussion. Through questions & answers, every participant had the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the C3S Energy Climate service.

Click on the button “Download the brochure” for the background information and the agenda.

During the C3S Energy Seminar were showcasing the two C3S Energy and Climate services: the Global version (also refereed to as Lot 1) and the European version tailored to ENTSO-E’s requirements (also referred to as Lot2).

Join us and get the opportunity to

  • Connect with experts in the energy and climate sectors
  • Participate in the discussion
  • Global energy data availability, their collection and how to use them at their best for climate-energy conversion models
  • Energy indicators to be developed as part of the C3S Enhanced Energy operational system
  • The use of climate and energy projections for ENTSO-E’s planning

The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Energy Seminar was held at the Galzignano Terme Spa and Golf Resort near Padua, Italy.

Located in the heart of the Euganean Hills, this unique complex features three 4-star hotels and one of the largest spa centres in Europe with natural waters at 37°C. A wellness spa, beauty & medical centre, 9-hole golf course and haute cuisine all make for an unbelievable stay.

The most convenient airports are: Venice (VCE), Treviso (TSF) and Bologna (BLQ). Additional local information is available on the venue website.

5 international airports: Venice airport is about 45 minutes away by car; Treviso airport about 45 minutes; Verona airport about 50 minutes, Bologna airport about 50 minutes and Padova (for private jetS) about 15 minutes away. There are 4 motorways with European connections, the A9 Milan – Switzerland; the A22 Brenner – Germany; the A23 Udine – Austria; the A4 Trieste – Slovenia and Croatia.
