Inside Climate Service: Our Vision, Mission, and Core Values

Founded in 2021, Inside Climate Service (ICS) is more than a start-up – it is a pioneering venture that bridges the gap between climate science and business decision-making. Emerging from international collaborations such as the EU H2020 SECLI-FIRM and the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), ICS builds on decades of expertise in climate and application research to deliver impact across Europe, Africa, and Australia, supporting governments, businesses, and institutions in navigating the challenges of climate change.

ICS was founded by Dr. Alberto Troccoli, a physicist and climate scientist with over 30 years of experience in the field. Building on his leadership in international climate research, he launched ICS with colleagues to turn climate science into actionable intelligence for governments, businesses, and communities—guided by sustainability and respect for the environment.

At the heart of ICS lies a deep commitment to innovation, scientific rigour, sustainability, and trust. By combining advanced climate modelling, artificial intelligence, and user-friendly tools such as our flagship platform Teal, we transform complex climate data into clear, actionable insights. These data and tools empower organisations in energy, water, agriculture, finance, and infrastructure to plan with confidence and thrive in an increasingly uncertain climate future.
